After earning my Bachelor’s in Business Administration, I moved to New York "for 2 months" to see if I could get any modeling work—I didn’t want to look back on my life when I was 40 years old and wonder "what would have happened if…")
The plan was to then return home for the holidays before starting my "real" career in business; however, the minute I set foot in New York City it was love at first sight. I was lucky enough to begin modeling my first week in town and I never looked back. My agent urged me to take acting classes and I soon began booking film, TV and commercials.
Over the years there were a few forays into sideline businesses (I had to put that business degree to use), plus a 15-year stretch as Director of Marketing of a NY hospital, but I always kept my foot in the biz, working as a print model, doing commercials, and as spokesperson for various companies.
One of my all-time favorite jobs was a series of infomercials for Time Life Music. I co-hosted Legendary Voices with the Lettermen; It All Started with Doo Wop with Dion DiMucci; and 60's Music Explosion with Jerry Mathers the Beaver.
I anchored a financial news program back in the early days of cable TV, and worked for many years as a Guest Host on QVC as the Consumer Electronics Specialist for RCA, GE and Motorola. As a spokesperson I’ve been honored to represent American Express, Canon, Nespresso, Sanofi, Novartis, Pfizer, NordicTrack, Lifecycle and many more great companies.
During the 90s, I worked bi-coastally, commuting monthly between New York and LA (platinum frequent flyer status!), for modeling work on the east coast, and a recurring role on Days of Our Lives and several primetime shows on the west coast.
I’ve starred in over 80 TV commercials, for Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Miller Beer, Coors Beer, Genesee Beer, Oldsmobile, Volkswagen, Ford, Hess, National Car Rental, Maybelline, Centrum Silver, Playtex Tampons, Arrid XX, VISA, MasterCard, Ponderosa Steakhouse, Home Pride Bread, Starburst, New York Daily News, Easy Spirit, Macy’s, etc.
I’ve also appeared in hundreds of print ads, magazines, billboards and catalogs, most notably Time, Reader's Digest, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Prevention, AARP and New York Magazine, and national ad campaigns for Sony, Jello, Continental Airlines, Toys R US, Brite Smile, GMC, Acura, Johnny Walker Red, Dannon Yogurt, Credit Suisse First Boston and many others.
Before moving to NY I was Miss Slovak USA, and also a finalist in the Miss USA Pageant as Miss Pennsylvania USA.
